Gallagher, a global leader in insurance and risk management, is seeking a Head of Renewable Energy to lead and expand its newly established national specialism in Retail Renewable Energy. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary, entrepreneurial, and sales-driven leader to shape a market-leading division within a rapidly growing sector.

As the Head of Renewable Energy, you will be responsible for driving growth, building strategic relationships, and developing a strong client-centric team that delivers exceptional value across corporate, mid-market, and scheme business portfolios. Your mission will be to position Gallagher as a top-tier player in the renewable energy insurance market through innovation, leadership, and partnership.

This high-profile and strategic role requires a balance of entrepreneurial flair, people leadership, and operational excellence. You will serve as a P&L owner, contribute as a member of the Midlands Executive Team, and play a pivotal role in defining Gallagher’s national renewable energy strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build the Specialism: Establish and lead a nationally recognized Renewable Energy division, leveraging Gallagher’s market presence and partnerships.

• Lead with Vision: Take full P&L ownership, setting growth objectives and ensuring strategic alignment with Gallagher’s national strategy.

• Drive Business Growth: Strengthen relationships with existing clients while winning new business through a consultative and solution-oriented approach.

• Empower and Grow the Team: Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations, nurturing a culture of collaboration and excellence.

• Ensure Operational Excellence: Maintain top standards across compliance, client service, and placement strategy.

• Act as a Brand Ambassador: Represent Gallagher’s values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation in the renewable energy industry.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven record of sales success and client growth within the insurance, renewable energy, or related industries.

• Strong leadership experience, with a focus on team development and talent attraction.

• Deep understanding of renewable energy and construction markets preferred, though leaders from other specialisms will be considered.

• Demonstrated ability to manage diverse client portfolios and drive business results.

• Inspirational, trustworthy, and value-driven professional who exemplifies Gallagher’s principles.

• ACII/FCII qualification (or working towards it) desirable.

• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
