Description:

Aviva Investors, a leading global asset manager, is looking to appoint a strategic and experienced Head of Supplier Governance and Operational Resilience to its team based in London. This hybrid full-time role is ideal for a senior professional with a deep command of operational resilience frameworks, third-party risk, and compliance regulations such as DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act).

In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure and resilient operating model across Aviva Investors. Your work will directly enhance the firm’s ability to manage operational risks and ensure continuity of critical business services across all in-scope entities, including international operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of a comprehensive, business-wide operational resilience and third-party governance strategy.

  • Oversee implementation of the DORA regulation and other resilience frameworks to ensure full compliance across all relevant entities.

  • Embed a culture of resilience within the organization, integrating best practices into operational routines and strategic planning.

  • Strengthen the governance of outsourced operations and vendor relationships across the EMEA region and beyond, ensuring the outsourced model remains secure, stable, and adaptable.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with third-party dependencies and digital service providers.

  • Drive organizational readiness for operational disruptions through simulation, testing, and risk mitigation frameworks.

  • Influence senior stakeholders and regulators with sound, risk-aligned strategies and action plans.

  • Lead a team of resilience and governance professionals to ensure consistency, excellence, and regulatory alignment in daily operations.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven leadership in operational resilience, third-party risk management, and regulatory compliance—preferably within the buy-side (asset management) sector.

  • Extensive experience delivering technological and regulatory change in complex, matrixed environments.

  • Strong ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, integrating technology, investment operations, and compliance perspectives.

  • Hands-on experience with implementing Operational Resilience and DORA regulations.

  • Deep understanding of outsourced operating models and their governance, particularly across the EMEA region.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and influencing skills at executive levels.

What You’ll Get for This Role:

  • Generous pension contributions from Aviva, up to 14% depending on personal contribution.

  • Eligibility for annual performance-based bonuses.

  • Generous annual leave allowance plus bank holidays, with option to buy/sell up to 5 days.

  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit for expert health support.

  • Up to 40% discount on Aviva products.

  • Access to brilliant flexible benefits including electric car leasing and more.

  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn (SAYE) schemes.

  • 21 paid volunteering hours per year.

  • Family-friendly parental and carer’s leave policies.

  • Hybrid working model, with approximately 50% office attendance in London.
