Description:
Aviva Investors, a leading global asset manager, is looking to appoint a strategic and experienced Head of Supplier Governance and Operational Resilience to its team based in London. This hybrid full-time role is ideal for a senior professional with a deep command of operational resilience frameworks, third-party risk, and compliance regulations such as DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act).
In this high-impact position, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure and resilient operating model across Aviva Investors. Your work will directly enhance the firm’s ability to manage operational risks and ensure continuity of critical business services across all in-scope entities, including international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of a comprehensive, business-wide operational resilience and third-party governance strategy.
Oversee implementation of the DORA regulation and other resilience frameworks to ensure full compliance across all relevant entities.
Embed a culture of resilience within the organization, integrating best practices into operational routines and strategic planning.
Strengthen the governance of outsourced operations and vendor relationships across the EMEA region and beyond, ensuring the outsourced model remains secure, stable, and adaptable.
Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with third-party dependencies and digital service providers.
Drive organizational readiness for operational disruptions through simulation, testing, and risk mitigation frameworks.
Influence senior stakeholders and regulators with sound, risk-aligned strategies and action plans.
Lead a team of resilience and governance professionals to ensure consistency, excellence, and regulatory alignment in daily operations.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proven leadership in operational resilience, third-party risk management, and regulatory compliance—preferably within the buy-side (asset management) sector.
Extensive experience delivering technological and regulatory change in complex, matrixed environments.
Strong ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, integrating technology, investment operations, and compliance perspectives.
Hands-on experience with implementing Operational Resilience and DORA regulations.
Deep understanding of outsourced operating models and their governance, particularly across the EMEA region.
Excellent stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and influencing skills at executive levels.
