Pinsent Masons, a leading global 100 law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health and Safety / Regulatory Lawyer to join their esteemed Health & Safety and Regulatory Risk Advisory team. The position is available in Birmingham, Manchester, or Leeds, providing flexibility for the right candidate to choose their preferred office location.

This role focuses on providing contentious and non-contentious advice and support to clients in areas such as health and safety, corporate and gross negligence manslaughter, fire safety, building safety, Coroner’s inquests, and various regulatory matters including environmental law, food safety and hygiene, product safety (including construction products), and trading law (particularly in the post-Brexit landscape).

The ideal candidate will have 2–6 years PQE, with experience gained in a City firm or large regional practice. They should have strong expertise in criminal regulatory defence work, preferably within health and safety or related regulatory fields, and experience in public inquiries will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities include managing high-profile cases involving fatal workplace incidents, handling investigations and prosecutions by the HSE, Environment Agency, and Local Authorities, and advising on compliance matters. Candidates must possess strong academic credentials, excellent communication and organizational skills, commercial awareness, and a proactive approach to business development. National travel to clients and court hearings will be required.
