Our aim is to expand market access consulting in the United Kingdom by providing holistic strategic support from early trial planning to drug launch and securing reimbursement of innovative medicines. In collaboration with the wider IGES Group, our vision is to provide a full service from strategy to submission for the pharmaceutical and biotech sector. As a Health Economic Modeller, you will play a vital role in our mission, contributing your expertise to develop robust health economic models that underpin strategic market access decisions.
Primary responsibility:
- Development of Cost-Effectiveness Models from scratch: You will conceive, design, and implement novel health economic models, including initial ideas, conceptualization, and full execution, to evaluate the value of health interventions.
- Apply advanced statistical and modelling methods to conduct indirect comparisons between treatment options, ensuring robust evidence generation.
- Development of comprehensive models that predict the financial impact of new therapies on healthcare systems and provide information on reimbursement strategies.
- Responsibility for the creation, optimization and maintenance of R programmes specifically for the evaluation of clinical study data, the calculation of indirect comparisons and the implementation of complex Markov models.
- Manage and execute health economic modelling projects, ensuring scientific rigor, methodological soundness, and adherence to project timelines.
- Contribute to the scientific communication of model results, including the preparation of technical reports, model documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Skills, experience and education:
- Minimum 2:1 honours degree, preferably a Masters with a strong focus on Health Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
- Significant in-depth experience (minimum 3 years) in developing complex health economic models (Cost-Effectiveness, Budget Impact, ITCs) from conception to execution, gained within a pharmaceutical company or consultancy in the UK.
- Excellent programming skills in R are mandatory
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple modelling projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines as a collaborative team player with strong problem-solving skills.
