Description:

This role at Cygnet Sherwood House involves both clinical and leadership responsibilities for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to male service users in a specialist inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing rehabilitation services to individuals recovering from complex mental health issues. As a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for managing and treating occupational dysfunction, supervising a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, and ensuring effective service delivery. The role also offers opportunities for professional development within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and assess the occupational therapy needs of 30 service users.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support recovery from admission to discharge.
  • Provide leadership and clinical supervision to a Band 5 Occupational Therapist.
  • Ensure the delivery of occupational therapy services in line with best practice and Cygnet's standards.
  • Promote long-term recovery and community reintegration for service users.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and contribute to evidence-based practice development.

Requirements:

  • Clinical experience in occupational therapy, particularly within mental health and rehabilitation settings.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
