The Operational Intelligence Units (OIUs) are part of Home Office Intelligence. OIUs include operational and non-operational staff who develop intelligence products to protect vulnerable people and communities while reducing the illegal population and the harm that it causes.
This exciting role offers the candidate the opportunity to work proactively with internal and external partners across a large geographical area with a view to developing high quality intelligence packages to support the work of Immigration, Compliance and Enforcement (ICE) teams.
The successful candidate will be part of a high performing team directed by the Field Intelligence Manager and key to the delivery of Immigration Enforcement priorities. Training
The role of intelligence is continuing to develop within the Home Office as we aim to professionalise roles through staff training and qualifications. The successful candidate will work towards an Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) accreditation within the first year in post. The Home Office is also developing an IPP career pathway framework to set out how intelligence practitioners can proactively move between IPP organisations to improve their intelligence knowledge and skills sets.
The successful candidates must be Immigration Enforcement arrest trained, or willing and able to pass an arrest training course (including required health assessment) once in post.
