Description:

Hemiko is seeking a motivated HSE Administrator to support its Health & Safety operations at its Sheffield office. Reporting directly to the Health & Safety Manager, this role is essential in managing the company's safety documentation, scheduling audits, ensuring compliance with health & safety systems, and maintaining accreditation standards.

The role offers a dynamic environment within a fast-growing low-carbon energy company. It is best suited to candidates who are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of engaging across departments to ensure best practices in safety and documentation.

The successful candidate will handle day-to-day administrative responsibilities in support of Hemiko’s Integrated Management System, facilitate document control, and contribute to continual improvement across safety operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for company document-related inquiries.

  • Ensure documents follow company format, are properly reviewed, approved, and stored according to set procedures.

  • Administer and maintain the ‘Atlas’ Health & Safety system.

  • Forecast and schedule internal audits and track corrective actions.

  • Manage documentation and compliance for external certification bodies (e.g., CHAS, SMAS, Safe Contractor).

  • Support Health & Safety committee meetings with administrative tasks, including minute-taking.

  • Ensure smooth servicing and updating of accreditation platforms and certifications.


Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other document control systems.

  • Experience with document version control and document tracking processes.

  • Comfortable liaising with team members at all levels.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
