As an HSE Leader, you will be responsible for supporting line management in meeting their HSE responsibilities, offering advice on technical, organizational, and procedural aspects, and ensuring compliance with country/region-specific regulations. You'll develop and promote a strong culture of care across offshore teams, helping to safeguard operational activities and fostering a proactive approach to HSE management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively support line management with HSE responsibilities, providing technical advice and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Develop and promote the "We Care" culture and ensure strong HSE performance across Offshore operational and contract teams.
- Lead and develop a team of HSE professionals and specialists within the Offshore operations team.
- Liaise with HSE counterparts and drive lessons learned initiatives to improve safety practices.
- Plan, steer, and follow up on all Offshore HSE measures in coordination with the Head of HSE Offshore Operations and the Team Lead HSE Offshore Operations in Continental Europe.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the HSE management system, safe systems of work, and risk control measures.
- Analyze data and manage targeted campaigns, programs, and initiatives to improve HSE performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks, conduct incident investigations, and lead root cause analysis.
- Engage contractors to ensure high HSE standards during operations and represent RWE RES at relevant offshore wind forums and associations.
Job Requirements:
- NEBOSH Certificate, ideally working towards NEBOSH Diploma.
- IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management.
- Leadership experience in HSE roles, particularly in offshore operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Experience with HSE leadership training and behavioral safety techniques.
- Physical fitness to work in an offshore environment.
- Expertise in offshore lifting, handling, and loading out heavy components.
- Experience managing JUV (Joint Underwater Vehicle) campaigns is desirable.
