The Role of the ICT Helpdesk Technician:
Are you an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual with a keen interest in ICT desktop, network, and user support, e-safety, and the use of ICT in education, to support our staff and students with all ICT hardware and software requirements across our centres.
Based at our Head Office in Burgess Hill, your main duties will be monitoring the help desk and answering calls, solving problems for users with the aid of remote connection tools and on-site where applicable, and escalating tickets to the Senior ICT Technician and Network Technician as necessary.
Provide first-line ICT support across the school
Assist with the setup and distribution of ICT hardware and software
Ensure ICT hardware and software across the school is maintained to a satisfactory standard
Support the Senior ICT Technician, Network Technician and Network Manager as needed
Deliver a quality service in a school where high standards are set and expected
To be considered for the role of ICT Helpdesk Technician:
Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
Level 2 ICT/Computer Science qualification
Some experience in administration of ICT software and hardware, particularly Microsoft Windows networks, Office 365, and iOS/iPadOS
An interest of working in an educational environment
A patient and flexible attitude
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to work in a team and on own initiative
A current UK driving license and the ability to travel between our centres
across the county, although this role will not routinely involve travel
