ISR Recruitment is seeking a motivated and skilled Information Technology Field Engineer to join a growing technology client in Truro, Cornwall. As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site IT support, installations, and maintenance at client locations across Cornwall. The role involves working with a wide range of technologies, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows servers, PCs, networking devices, and printers. You will collaborate with the Plymouth-based support desk team to resolve escalated issues, ensuring smooth and efficient IT services for clients.

The ideal candidate will be self-driven, solution-focused, and able to deliver excellent customer service while communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical users. This role requires adaptability, as each day will present different clients, challenges, and environments. A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to client sites across Cornwall to provide IT support and troubleshooting.

• Install and configure IT hardware and software including servers, PCs, printers, and networking devices.

• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows environments.

• Perform basic networking troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs).

• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and customer interactions.

• Collaborate with the support desk team in Plymouth for escalated issues.

• Deliver professional, friendly customer service and provide guidance to users.

• Undertake training and assist in training new team members when required.

• Ensure all work is carried out in line with company policies and guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in IT support (desk-based or field-based).

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows environments.

• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain IT concepts clearly.

• Problem-solving mindset with strong organisational skills.

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
