Pegasus Group is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Infrastructure Director (Civil Engineering) to join their reputable Infrastructure Team based in Bristol. This is a full-time, permanent leadership opportunity for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in delivering civil engineering infrastructure solutions and a demonstrated capability to win and lead major projects.

In this role, you will be instrumental in the growth and success of Pegasus Group’s Transport & Infrastructure (T&I) business unit. This includes influencing strategic decisions, nurturing key client relationships, and mentoring a high-performing team. Your leadership will be essential in driving long-term business expansion, enhancing local service delivery, and increasing market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality civil engineering infrastructure design services for both private developments and adoptable works.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert consultancy and guidance to meet diverse client requirements.

  • Actively contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, and securing projects.

  • Support and influence strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives within the T&I business.

  • Foster collaboration with colleagues, key stakeholders, and directors to drive project and business success.

  • Oversee and contribute to all stages of infrastructure design including planning, tender documentation, construction, and compliance.

Candidate Profile:

  • Chartered Engineer status with a relevant professional body.

  • 12–15 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly within consultancy or private sector development.

  • Proven track record of business development and work-winning success in a competitive consultancy environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of the legal, planning, technical consent, and adoption processes related to infrastructure delivery.

  • Strong understanding of contract procedures for both public and private sector infrastructure projects.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented and collaborative mindset.

  • Ability to work independently under pressure, manage complex workloads, and support junior team members.

  • Strategic, analytical, and proactive approach to solving technical and business challenges.
