Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in virtualisation technologies and 3rd line support to join a dynamic IT team based in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions to support the growing business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 3rd line support for complex infrastructure issues, ensuring prompt resolution and

minimal disruption to services.

• Design, implement, and maintain virtualised environments using Hyper-V and VMware

technologies.

• Manage and optimise Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active

Directory, and Azure.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and

high availability.

• Support and monitor system performance, security, and backups.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement infrastructure strategies.

• Participate in capacity planning, system upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience with 3rd line support and troubleshooting within complex infrastructure

environments.

• Expertise in Hyper-V and VMware virtualisation technologies.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, AD, Exchange, Azure).

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills with a team-oriented approach.
