Description:

The University of Bath is seeking an Institute Co-ordinator to support the newly launched Institute for Digital Security and Behaviour. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work alongside a diverse academic community led by Professors Laura GE Smith and Adam Joinson, within the School of Management’s new building. The institute brings together over fifty academic staff, postdoctoral researchers, and postgraduate students across three faculties, with a mission to make the UK a safer, more innovative, and resilient digital society.

As an Institute Co-ordinator, you will play a central role in managing day-to-day operations, leading on engagement and communication activities, and supporting the leadership team in achieving strategic goals. The role is dynamic, challenging, and highly rewarding, involving close interaction with stakeholders across academia, government, industry, and the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily administration and smooth running of the Institute.

  • Coordinate communication, engagement, and outreach activities.

  • Support the leadership team in delivering strategic objectives.

  • Assist with event planning, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development.

  • Use creativity and independent judgment to solve complex problems.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and event management skills.

  • Strong teamwork and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across diverse groups.

  • Confidence and credibility in higher education, government, and industry settings.

  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently.

  • Knowledge or interest in digital security and behavioural challenges is an advantage.

Contract Details:

  • Full-time role (36.5 hours per week).

  • Fixed-term contract until 30 July 2027.
