Instrumentation Engineer

Description:

Babcock International Group is recruiting a Control, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer for their LGE site in Rosyth. The role supports the delivery of large-scale process engineering projects, particularly in marine cargo handling and fuel gas systems for liquefied gas transport and storage. The engineer will be involved in preparing technical documentation such as calculations, data sheets, specifications, schedules, and drawings while coordinating with other business departments to meet project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all CI&E engineering tasks related to project delivery.

• Prepare and manage technical documents including motor instrumentation, gauge boards, control and starter panels, cabling, wiring diagrams, and hazardous/safe area plans.

• Develop control system architecture and manage communication links with third-party equipment.

• Support project schedules and ensure deliverables meet deadlines and customer requirements.

Required Background and Skills:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (preferably chartered or working towards it).

• Strong competency in at least two of the three technical areas: Control, Instrumentation, Electrical.

• Experience in layout design of Electrical & Instrumentation control panels.

• Skilled in PLC & HMI programming with familiarity in Siemens, Allen Bradley, GE IP or equivalents.

• Understanding of IEC 60079 ATEX standards; CompEx training is a plus.

• Ability to work under deadlines and react to client requests.

• Must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
