The Role

As the Interim Corporate Development Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end acquisition process, supporting the organization’s growth through the strategic identification, negotiation, and integration of new nursery sites. Reporting to the senior leadership team, primarily the MD, you will play a key role in achieving the company’s expansion targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Research: Conduct thorough research to identify potential acquisition targets within the childcare sector.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute acquisition strategies that align with the company’s objectives and values.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with nursery owners, brokers, and industry stakeholders.
• Due Diligence: Lead financial, operational, and legal due diligence for potential acquisitions.
• Negotiation: Negotiate favourable terms and conditions for acquisitions.
• Integration: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth integration of acquired sites.
• Financial Analysis: Prepare financial models and analyses to support deal structuring and valuations.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on acquisition activity and progress.

What we’d like to see (essential)

• Minimum of 5 years in mergers and acquisitions, ideally within the childcare or education sector.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial analysis tools.
