Description:
Xpertise Recruitment is hiring for an Interim Head of Data on behalf of a prominent UK-based organization in the housing sector. This is a fully remote, full-time contract opportunity, offered outside IR35 for an initial 6-month period, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will take charge of a pivotal stage in the organization’s data and analytics transformation program, directly influencing data strategies and governance frameworks at the highest level.
The role demands not only technical and strategic capabilities but also strong leadership and stakeholder management skills to deliver a trusted and forward-thinking data infrastructure that supports business-wide decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery and execution of a comprehensive data strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business priorities
Oversee data governance, data quality frameworks, and platform enhancements
Spearhead the organization’s shift from reactive to predictive analytics
Manage, develop, and guide both internal and external data teams
Establish robust frameworks for AI innovation while ensuring compliance and effective governance
Rebuild confidence in performance reporting and operational KPI accuracy
Key Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in senior data leadership roles such as Head of Data or Director of Data
A deep understanding of the housing or social housing sector (essential)
A solid track record of delivering enterprise-scale data transformation projects
Expertise in data strategy, data governance, and advanced analytics
Familiarity with agile, cross-functional team environments
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
