My client is seeking to appoint an interim Head of Housing Support Services while a permanent appointment is made, and it is anticipated the role will last for 3 – 6 months.

Key expertise and responsibilities within the role are as follows:

• Responsible for management, motivation and performance of 30 staff
• In-depth knowledge of Part 6 & 7 Housing Act 1996
• Delivery of the Homelessness Strategy
• Responding to Clls and Members
• Drafting reports
• Ensuring a best-in-class Customer services function is delivered
• Managing relationships with external stakeholders

You’ll centre your efforts on the effective management of front-line demand, integration of front-line assessment services and promotion of sustainable housing solutions. Developing strategic and operational partnerships with the public and third sectors will be vital to success. As you build a new, stable team focused on delivery, you will also be required to help embed a culture that puts residents first. Additionally, you will be required to reduce expenditure while increasing customer satisfaction.
