Description:

Psicon Ltd, a specialist neurodevelopmental service, is seeking experienced and motivated ADHD Nurse Prescribers to join their Internal Clinical Team in Basingstoke. Psicon collaborates with various NHS Trusts to deliver high-quality autism and ADHD assessments while supporting clients with innovative, effective, and compassionate healthcare solutions.

This hybrid role requires 3 days in-clinic and 2 days working from home, with flexibility for part-time arrangements. As an ADHD Nurse Prescriber, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing ADHD, prescribing and managing medication, and ensuring compliance with NICE guidelines while delivering holistic, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed ADHD assessments, including evaluating individuals and producing comprehensive diagnostic reports.

• Communicate assessment outcomes clearly and compassionately with clients and families.

• Manage caseloads through the medication pathway, ensuring timely reviews and compliance with protocols.

• Initiate, titrate, and manage ADHD medications (stimulant and non-stimulant), adjusting treatment as clinically appropriate.

• Prescribe safely and effectively using approved formularies, monitoring progress and ensuring best clinical practice.

• Provide holistic care incorporating pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, external services, and internal colleagues to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

• Qualified Mental Health Nurse with an independent non-medical prescribing qualification (V300).

• Active NMC registration with up-to-date revalidation.

• Significant professional experience in ADHD assessment, prescribing, and treatment.

• Strong crisis management, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients, families, and professionals.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
