Description:
We are on looking for our first International Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations within the United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for the month-end close, statutory audits and filings, and act as a key resource for all UK accounting matters.

What You’ll Do
- Manage the month-end close processes for UK operations in accordance with internal deadlines while ensuring accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and/or review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses; validate foreign currency transaction and translation impacts.
- Lead a team of external accountants in executing departmental responsibilities. This includes A/P operations, vendor relationship management, and the procure-to-pay cycle (i.e. invoice receipt to payment disbursement).
- Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement, including management and optimization of automation tools (e.g. OCR and IDP).
- Coordinate with external auditors, ensure compliance with UK statutory reporting requirements, and manage statutory audits and filings.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Company House regulations, VAT, local tax and transfer pricing regulations.
- Serve as primary accounting liaison between the US parent company and the UK & EU subsidiaries.
- Provide tax, treasury, and payroll support which includes cashflow management, local tax filings (VAT, R&D credits, and corporate tax return) and payroll approvals.
- Work on ad-hoc projects with various accounting and finance teams from inventory accounting, leases, tax provisions to fixed asset management.
- Build and scale a local accounting team as Anduril grows throughout the region.
- Partner with local and regional operational leaders to support business decision-making.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including of 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience working within a global organization.
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of both UK and US GAAP, IFRS, and local accounting standards.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred).
- Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a mindset for continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high growth organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
