Inventory Manager

 

Description:

This role is responsible for managing all aspects of stock and product operations—from organising inventory and maintaining system accuracy to supporting procurement, product development, and resale. Working closely with multiple departments, the Product & Inventory Operations Manager ensures our warehouse is efficient, our product data is accurate, and our inventory is aligned with business needs. It’s a hands-on, detail-driven role critical to keeping our product lifecycle running smoothly

🔹 Stock & Inventory Management

  • Categorise, measure, and upload all products to the internal system and website (including dimensions, weights, tags, and warehouse locations)
  • Maintain and manage a live product database, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Oversee and continuously improve warehouse stock organisation, storage efficiency, and space utilisation
  • Implement quarantine zones and damage control procedures for faulty or unverified stock
  • Identify and remove redundant, underperforming, or obsolete stock items
  • Repurpose existing assets into innovative décor solutions
  • Organise and manage all accessories, fixtures, and product components
  • Create and apply clear, consistent labels for all boxes, including QR codes for scanning and digital referencing
  • Liaise with the procurement team to ensure inventory aligns with current and upcoming product requirements
  • Ensure all master product responsibilities are maintained and up to date, including naming conventions, component lists, and imagery

🔹 Sales & Repurposing

  • List surplus or unused stock for online resale platforms
  • Monitor stock usage reports and implement strategies to improve turnover
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote clearance items and secondary-sale products

🔹 Product Development & Procurement

  • Research new product opportunities in line with décor trends and seasonal themes
  • Source and liaise with suppliers—particularly in China—to benchmark quality and pricing
  • Identify upsell opportunities within existing product ranges or themes
  • Verify stock availability for all components required in current product offerings
  • Coordinate with procurement to keep all inventory aligned with upcoming themes and installations

🔹 Quality Control

  • Ensure all products meet internal quality standards before release or event deployment
  • Conduct regular inspections and oversee damage reporting processes
  • Coordinate and lead product photoshoots, ensuring imagery remains up-to-date and visually consistent
  • Provide training to new staff on product knowledge, handling, and usage

🔹 Website & System Management

  • Ensure complete and accurate product listings on both internal systems and the website
  • Maintain consistency in product tags, images, naming conventions, and descriptions
  • Work closely with the content and marketing teams to ensure visuals and data stay current
  • Collaborate with team leads to update master data, ensuring all products, categories, and systems reflect real-time status and stock

  • Proven background in stock management, procurement, or product coordination
  • Experience sourcing from China
  • Proficiency with Current RMS
  • Skilled in product and market research
  • Understanding of the full lifecycle of design/decor products
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and training skills
