Investment Research Analyst

Description:

At MFS, we are seeking a Research Analyst to work within our global research team, focusing on securitized products for fixed income portfolios managed by MFS. This role will expand MFS’s capabilities with a primary focus on the European securitized markets, including Asset Backed Securities (ABS), Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS), and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent research to develop investment recommendations for fixed income portfolios.
• Use research sources like company literature, third-party systems, and internal models to structure, develop, and communicate investment recommendations.
• Maintain and develop analytic models to evaluate creditworthiness and bond valuations.
• Act as the in-house expert for designated areas of securitized products.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the team.

Qualifications:

• MBA and/or CFA Charterholder preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the European securitized market.
• Proficiency in Excel, Intex, and Bloomberg.
• Ability to work independently, utilizing research, analysis, and communication skills.
• Experience working in a diverse and collaborative team environment.
