Description:

The External Software Integration Team supports software developer companies who want to integrate with our systems through software that they are developing.

As an IT Assurance and Governance Service Analyst on this team, your role is to support developers to integrate with our APIs, answering their questions, in good time and to a high standard and maintain accurate information about them and their software products.

Playing a key role supporting good governance and assurance by developers and ensuring they meet our standards and the acceptance framework.

You will be self-motivated, a confident communicator with good interpersonal skills. The role involves triaging, prioritising, and responding to software developers’ queries – so you will need to write clearly and concisely.

You will have an eye for detail, with the ability to quickly understand, route out problems and recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention.

You will navigate and use various digital tools e.g., MS Dynamics, Deskpro, Jira.

This is an exciting opportunity suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, has good analytic skills, who can work independently to assist others with requests and enjoys process orientated assurance tasks and helping customers.

Person specification

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out due diligence activities to ensure software developers meet HMRC’s onboarding standards, by identifying and engaging with stakeholders to collate stakeholder needs evidence. You can understand and define stakeholder needs with tracking and logging correct information onto our relevant customer records;
  • Managing workflow and answering queries from developers to meet Service Level Agreements, and own the issue until a new owner has been found, or the problem has been mitigated or resolved;
  • Engaging and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues for developers;
  • Creating and maintaining accurate customer records on MS Dynamics and Deskpro;
  • Regularly producing good quality, timely and informative reports, and dashboards, in a standard format and to an agreed timeframe;
  • Taking ownership and maintaining a gov.uk web tool, with monthly assurance checks of the content, to ensure customers have accurate information about finding suitable tax software.
