It Business Continuity Manager

Intec Select, a leading specialist IT recruitment consultancy, is partnering with a prominent financial services organization to recruit a skilled and experienced IT Business Continuity Manager. This pivotal role will focus on defining, implementing, and overseeing the IT Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy across a complex, multi-site IT environment.

The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in ensuring that IT systems remain resilient, compliant, and secure, while supporting the organisation’s ongoing digital transformation initiatives. You’ll work collaboratively with senior IT leaders and operational teams to embed best practices in IT continuity, resilience, and disaster recovery management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, deliver, and embed the Group-wide IT Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategy and policies.

• Design, maintain, and test IT Service Continuity and DR plans in line with business objectives and industry regulations.

• Lead and coordinate responses to major IT incidents, ensuring swift recovery and minimal operational impact.

• Collaborate with Architecture, Service Design, and Operations teams to embed resilience into new and existing IT services.

• Plan and conduct regular DR simulations and training exercises to enhance operational readiness.

• Provide expert guidance and assurance at Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Technical Design Authority (TDA) forums.

• Develop and present management reports, dashboards, and recommendations, summarizing DR test outcomes, risks, and improvement areas.

• Partner with third-party service providers, including cloud vendors, to ensure alignment with continuity and compliance standards.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven expertise in IT Service Management (ITIL v3 or v4) within a regulated environment.

• Strong working knowledge of Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Operational Resilience.

• Experience within financial services or other regulated sectors (highly desirable).

• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organizational levels.

• Understanding of Risk Management and Data Governance frameworks.

• Experience managing or collaborating with external vendors and cloud providers.

• ITIL Foundation Certification (v3 or v4) is mandatory.
