It Digital Project Manager

 

Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Digital Project Manager who will work alongside the Digital Product Management team to deliver priorities set in the continuous improvement workstream.

They will be responsible for identifying and securing required resources, ensuring relevant teams within IT and our 3 rd parties are engaged in change and aligned to delivery plan.

They will also provide clear communication and governance on project progress, and risk management, to the appropriate governance forums and decision-making authorities.

Role Responsibility

  • Plan, monitor, manage and deliver internal digital projects using formal processes and tools to manage plans, resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
  • Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality and reliability.
  • Monitor working processes and team performance, with the goal of improving efficiency and productivity over time.
  • Solve complex problems and resolve issues that do not have routine solutions, working independently with minimal guidance.
  • Manage cross-functional teams including third parties, ensuring excellent organizational skills and good people skills to manage both internal and external employees.
  • Provide a "hands-on" approach to project management, ensuring that the delivery is on time and within budget.
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable experience in project/programme management, preferably in a digital environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide clear communication and governance on project progress, risk management, and decision-making authority.
  • Responsible for delivery of at least one large scale continuous development project that meets business objectives, budget, timescales, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience managing cross-functional teams, ensuring excellent organizational skills and good people skills to manage both internal and external employees.
  • Hands-on approach to project management, ensuring that the delivery is on time and within budget.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field of study is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery essentially. Certifications in methods such as PRINCE2, SCRUM, or SAFE are preferred, but not required.
