About the role

As the IT Director, you will lead the technology vision, strategy, and development for the Software Resilience business driving innovation and growth, reporting into the Group CIO.

You will be responsible for leading our technology team driving continual good practice across all areas of our technical delivery during a time of considerable change and technology consolidation.

Drive in the changes required to support the consolidation process in terms of systems, data, process and people.

Key accountabilities:

• Lead the technology team to delivery the services required by the business to operate
• Provide the technical vision and strategy for the company, aligning it with the overall business objectives.
• Develop an achievable and realistic technology roadmap, ensuring that tech architecture supports the business priorities.
• Transformation of technology and digital services and building new services that are required by a stand-alone business
• Working closely with teams across the business and Group IT, ensuring an open, cohesive, and collaborative approach is maintained.
• Implementing and managing effective change and release management and information and security processes and procedures
• Working closely with Marketing, Business Development and Sales to define and deliver process improvement and new products.
• Manage technology budgets, resources, and staffing needs.
• Project and programme management of complex, interdependent activities and technologies, with hybrid resources (outsourced, internal, contract, partners).
• Accountable for the business information, data and reporting to serve the business requirements.
• Responsible for IT Security & IT risk management in line with regional best practices and local regulations
• Accountable for ensuring compliance of IT systems, processes and policies with regional, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiating all IT supplier contracts and ensuring that the group receives appropriate levels of service and maximum value.
• Working closely with other IT and business leadership and resources outside the direct business collaboratively to achieve successful outcomes.
