Appoint-Ed is recruiting on behalf of Albion Academy (part of United Learning) for a full-time IT Graduate Technician position based in Salford (M6). This is an excellent opportunity for recent IT graduates looking to begin their career in a supportive environment with on-the-job training and clear progression pathways.

This role is designed for enthusiastic graduates ready to dive into IT support work. No previous school or IT support experience is required—just a degree in IT or a related field and strong interpersonal skills. The technician will be responsible for a range of day-to-day IT support duties within the school, contributing to the smooth running of technology used by staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line IT support across the school environment.

  • Diagnose and resolve basic issues with devices, printers, AV systems, and software.

  • Assist with routine network, backup, and security maintenance.

  • Escalate complex technical problems to higher-level support when necessary.

Requirements:

  • A degree in IT or a related discipline.

  • Strong communication and people skills.

  • A proactive, can-do attitude with willingness to learn.

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Subject to satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time, all year round.

  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.

  • No evening or weekend work required.
