Description:

It offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated doctor to join a dynamic, rapidly expanding team delivering multidisciplinary acute care in St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals & expand their experience within acute & general medicine.

Applicants must be eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment.

Candidates must have evidence of achievement of Foundation competencies from a UKFPO affiliated Foundation Programme or equivalent by time of commencing post, in line with GMC standards / Good Medical Practice.

Due to the short term nature of the role/service demand, the successful candidate must hold full registration with the GMC and have existing right to live and work in the UK, at the time of application. Candidates must also have some experience of working within the NHS.

Candidates who are not GMC registered or do not hold existing right to live and work in the UK, at the time of application will not progress through shortlisting stage.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Participate in the initial assessment and management of patients with the supervision of more experienced members of the team.

Liaise with other members of the clinical team and other specialties.

Advise FYP trainees and ANPs about management of patients.

Develop skills in managing the wards to avoid unnecessary patient delays and maintain good clinical care to all patients.
