Junior Solicitor

Description:

Fieldfisher is offering an excellent opportunity for a junior-level Solicitor to join their high-ranking Real Estate Litigation team in Manchester. Recognized as a Tier 2 team in Legal 500, the group handles a broad spectrum of commercial property disputes, making this a rewarding and fast-paced environment to build legal expertise.

Led by partners Antony Phillips and Jamie Mangan, the team comprises 12 other fee earners across Manchester and London. You will gain direct exposure to clients and be actively involved in contentious real estate matters from initiation through resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing a diverse and dynamic caseload of property-related disputes

• Work directly with clients on matters ranging from commercial landlord and tenant issues to:

  • Development-related disputes (e.g., rights of light, party walls)

  • Property-related professional negligence

  • Secured lending claims

  • Rent reviews

  • Telecommunications disputes

• Support senior lawyers while also handling responsibilities independently

• Ensure a commercial, pragmatic approach to legal resolutions

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (1–2 PQE ideal)

• Strong academic background

• Property litigation experience is essential

• Excellent client management and interpersonal skills

• Commercial awareness and solution-oriented thinking

• Ambitious, proactive, and a team player
