Land Manager

Description:

SSE is seeking an experienced Land Manager to join their Transmission team in Scotland, playing a vital role in delivering clean and sustainable energy. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with flexible working options, based in Perth, Inverness, or Aberdeen.

As a Land Manager, you will work at the forefront of major infrastructure development, securing land rights for 400kV overhead lines, underground cables, and substations essential for powering the nation with renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with landowners and occupiers to determine optimal route and site selections.

• Assess impacts of infrastructure projects on land and businesses.

• Negotiate and manage wayleaves, servitudes, and land rights in line with industry best practices.

• Evaluate and process compensation and valuation agreements.

• Ensure fair treatment of all stakeholders while securing necessary land access.

Required Skills and Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of land management and landownership systems in Scotland.

• Experience with land and property rights, particularly in utilities, energy, or infrastructure.

• Proficiency in compensation assessment, negotiation of wayleaves and servitudes, and land acquisition.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Organised, proactive, and able to handle multiple priorities in a project-driven environment.
