Landscape Planner

 

Description:

Pegasus Group is seeking experienced Landscape Planners to join its dynamic and innovative Environment team operating across the UK. This role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of impactful and sustainable projects that shape the future of the built and natural environment.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile projects across various sectors including energy and residential, working closely with other professionals such as barristers during planning appeals. Your work will involve strategic landscape analysis, development of sustainable designs, and production of detailed assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the production of Landscape Appraisals, LVIA (Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments), TVIA (Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments), and Greenbelt/Greybelt assessments.

  • Deliver strategic landscape planning solutions across energy, residential, and mixed-use projects.

  • Engage in feasibility studies, supporting landscape statements, and mitigation strategies.

  • Prepare high-quality technical reports and documentation.

  • Manage projects from conception to delivery with a focus on efficiency and sustainability.

  • Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to planning appeal processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree or postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture.

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.

  • Strong understanding and experience with LVIA, feasibility studies, and landscape planning/design.

  • Proven experience in the energy and residential sectors.

  • Excellent technical report writing and analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication capabilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Commercial awareness and client-focused approach.
