Medivet Whittlesey is actively seeking a Lead Vet to join their established, multi-vet practice in Peterborough, England. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinary surgeon with clinical leadership aspirations and a passion for providing high-quality animal care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The clinic, recently refurbished and situated in scenic surroundings, boasts impressive facilities including four consultation rooms, separate cat and dog wards and waiting areas, a bereavement room, a spacious staff room with a garden, and free onsite parking. The current team includes 3 Vets, 3 Nurses, 2 Veterinary Care Assistants, 2 Client Care Advisors, and a Practice Manager.

Peterborough offers a strategic central location with beautiful access to the West Norfolk coast and convenient travel links — just one hour to London via direct train.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver top-tier clinical care during consultations and procedures

• Offer exceptional client communication and case updates

• Maintain professional and regulatory compliance across operations

• Create accurate treatment estimates, managing payment and reducing debt

• Partner with the Practice Manager to achieve commercial performance goals

• Guide, mentor, and develop team members

• Foster a progressive clinical culture

• Share best practices across the Medivet community

Candidate Requirements:

• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and development

• Strong clinical skills in patient diagnosis, treatment, and surgery

• High standards of client engagement and patient care

• Effective coaching and influencing abilities

• Commercially astute with understanding of cost-effective clinical operations
