Description:

Dentsu is seeking a Director – Digital Academy & Learning and Development (L&D) to lead the strategic growth and delivery of its Digital Academy programs across the UK. This pivotal position focuses on supporting over 900 digital professionals across multiple disciplines, including Paid Search, SEO, Paid Social, Programmatic, Retail Media, Commerce, and Digital Experience.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Academy, this role will play a central part in developing, implementing, and evolving Dentsu’s Digital Academy roadmap for 2026, driving initiatives that attract, nurture, and retain top talent while supporting a culture of continuous learning and growth.

You will lead efforts to build world-class learning pathways, optimize onboarding for new hires, and deliver scalable L&D frameworks that align with business goals and individual career development. Working closely with Dentsu’s specialist teams, recruitment, and operations departments, you will ensure that both entry-level and experienced employees have access to impactful, inclusive, and future-ready learning opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Academy and Digital Specialism leads to execute a strategic L&D plan that supports growth, retention, and professional development.

  • Design and oversee onboarding experiences for all new hires, ensuring a consistent, engaging, and high-quality process.

  • Develop and sustain a scalable, impactful Entry-Level Academy Programme aligned with Dentsu’s hiring and development goals.

  • Partner with Recruitment and Operations teams to ensure seamless entry-level hiring and training experiences, including successful Assessment Centres.

  • Drive cross-discipline learning initiatives to enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing across digital teams.

  • Collaborate with central operations teams to enhance training programs for offshore teams, ensuring alignment with onshore capabilities.

  • Communicate effectively with employees to promote learning opportunities, utilizing newsletters, community meetings, digital content hubs, and other platforms.

  • Support Dentsu’s broader digital ambitions by creating a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and skill expansion.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in either L&D program management or digital marketing leadership.

  • Deep understanding of digital media, marketing technologies, and evolving industry trends.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on program delivery.

  • Proficiency in project management and coordination of multi-stakeholder initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to foster inclusive and engaging learning environments.

  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a passion for learning and development.
