The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse needs. They have a strong knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies to effectively support student learning and development. The ability to adapt to changing needs and a commitment to safeguarding children are essential attributes.

The key requirements for this role are:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a primary school setting
  • Experience working with a range of SEN, including students with Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD, and other specific learning needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work with students at different levels and with different needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach when working with students with SEN
