The Department of Digital and Data Driven Marketing brings together internationally renowned academics who undertake research into, and teach, a wide range of Digital and Data Driven Marketing -related topics. The Department is supported by the research centre: Centre for Marketing Research, where staff are actively engaged in cross-disciplinary research. The Department is consistently ranked number amongst the top 10 in the UK (4th in the Guardian League Table 2022). The Department of Digital and Data Driven Marketing brings together internationally renowned academics who undertake research into, and teach, a wide range of Digital and Data Driven Marketing -related topics. The Department runs the Centre for Marketing Research, where staff are actively engaged in cross-disciplinary research. Currently, comprising of 22 academics, the department’s teaching and research interests include digital marketing, sustainability, marketing strategy, consumer behaviour, brand management, luxury marketing, services marketing, entrepreneurship, and marketing analytics. The department members have published their research in top-tier journals including, the Journal of Retailing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of World Business, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Business Research, and Industrial Marketing Management, among others. The department has a thriving undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio, which is built around the research strengths and focus of the department staff.

About you

As a lecturer/senior teaching fellow, you will play a central role in furthering the research/teaching of the department. You will bring to the role a strong professional reputation in teaching and research, including the ability to produce world class research through publications in leading academic journals. You may have some experience of research grant activity. You will act as a leader and ambassador for us across management and enterprise or other engagement activities.

Experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels is essential, as is your ability to engage and inspire students and colleagues alike. Whether developing your own teaching approaches, acting as supervisor to your students or contributing to the effective administration of our department, you will enjoy scope to innovate and make a significant impact on teaching and research.
