We are seeking a passionate and dedicated academic to join our team as a Lecturer or Teaching Fellow in Events Management, Tourism, and Sport Business. This role is maternity cover and flexible working arrangements such as part-time or job share will be considered.
The successful candidate will contribute to an outstanding student experience by delivering high-quality, innovative teaching in areas including Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. You will also be actively involved in student pastoral care and academic supervision.
A key part of the role involves liaising with businesses and professional organisations to ensure our teaching and research remain closely connected to industry needs and developments. The role also requires a clear understanding of how scholarship, research outputs, or professional engagement can inform curriculum development to enhance students’ learning.
Deliver innovative and engaging teaching in Events Management, Tourism, Sport Business, and related subjects such as Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing
Provide pastoral and academic supervision to students, supporting their academic progress and wellbeing
Foster and maintain strong links with businesses and external organisations to enhance learning and research opportunities
Integrate research and professional insights into curriculum development to improve the student learning experience
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and develop the Business School’s vibrant and inclusive teaching environment
Strong commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience
Relevant academic and/or professional experience in Events Management, Tourism, Sport Business, and related fields
Ability to develop and deliver innovative curriculum content aligned with current industry trends
Experience or willingness to engage with professional bodies and external organisations
Enthusiastic about contributing to an inclusive, diverse, and supportive learning environment
