Description:
UNSW Rural, Port Macquarie, is seeking a part-time Lecturer (Education Focussed) in Clinical Skills & Simulation to contribute to the delivery of high-quality medical education across all phases of the UNSW undergraduate medicine program. This fixed-term position (until 30th June 2026) involves 3.5 hours of teaching per week, focusing on practical, face-to-face clinical skills sessions and high-fidelity simulation for rural medical students.
The role is part of a multidisciplinary Clinical Skills and Simulation team, aiming to prepare students for safe, competent, patient-centred clinical practice. The Lecturer will model best clinical practice, facilitate small group learning, develop scenario-based learning resources, and ensure educational activities align with program and clinical safety standards.
Requirements / Skills:
BMedMD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree
Current medical registration in New South Wales (AHPRA)
Experience in clinical teaching, simulation, scenario-based learning, and small group facilitation
Ability to contribute to design and delivery of clinical skills and simulation teaching activities across all phases of the undergraduate program
Face-to-face teaching, mentoring, and modelling excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills
