Legal Counsel

Description:

Simmons & Hanbury have been instructed by one of the world’s leading publishing groups to recruit a Legal Counsel on a 12-month fixed term contract to join their top-tier legal team based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal assistance on a wide range of commercial, intellectual property, and licensing agreements across the group.

• Work closely with business advisors, offering legal advice to support their decision-making processes.

• Play a key role in supporting the General Counsel’s office at the group level, contributing to its success and development.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years PQE with commercial practice experience from a leading UK/US law firm or In-house environment.

• European qualified lawyer with a strong academic background.

• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts, including advising on privacy and GDPR-related matters.
