Legal Counsel

Description:

An international banking group, known for its innovative and entrepreneurial approach, is seeking an In-house Counsel specializing in Real Estate Finance for a 12-month contract. The role involves providing expert legal advice on all aspects of real estate finance, including drafting and negotiating documentation, guiding investment decisions, and supporting the execution of transactions.

This position is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who can leverage their technical expertise to make sound decisions and build strong relationships with key stakeholders from day one. The role offers a practical and pragmatic in-house experience, perfect for those transitioning from law firm practice to an internal legal function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on all legal aspects of real estate finance.

• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate finance documentation.

• Provide guidance on investment decisions and transaction execution.

• Apply technical expertise in a commercially practical manner.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

About You:

• At least 5 years PQE with strong law firm training.

• Practical, pragmatic, and commercially minded approach.

• Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders.

• Ready to take on a first in-house role or gain further in-house experience in property finance.
