Gallagher Bassett, a global leader in claims management and risk solutions, is seeking a Litigation Solicitor to join its expanding corporate client-specific motor claims handling team based in Tamworth, England. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to manage a high-value and complex caseload while contributing to the development of a dynamic and collaborative department.

The successful candidate will play a key role in handling pre- and post-litigated cases, providing technical guidance across the team, and ensuring compliance with client service level agreements and performance standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of complex, high-value, and client-sensitive claims efficiently and in compliance with office protocols and client expectations.

• Conduct telephone and written negotiations with third parties, insurers, and representatives to reach swift and equitable settlements.

• Maintain accurate and compliant case management records, ensuring full adherence to The Solicitors Accounts Rules and Gallagher’s internal financial policies.

• Serve as a referral point for litigation queries and provide expert guidance on case progression and resolution strategies.

• Review, draft, and approve litigation documentation, ensuring all cases listed for trial are thoroughly prepared and effectively represented.

• Deliver litigation training and technical mentoring to claims handlers, fostering team development and supporting career progression.

• Support auditing processes and collaborate on ad hoc legal projects or technical initiatives across multiple offices.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing claims handling quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor (UK).

• Proven experience in motor uninsured loss recovery within a legal or insurance environment.

• Strong understanding of litigation processes, financial compliance, and legal best practices.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

• Collaborative mindset and willingness to support and guide team members.

• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
