Locum Pharmacist

Description:

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Locum Pharmacists for a 4-6 month contract at an NHS hospital, starting in May. This role involves working in both Emergency Department (ED) and Ward settings, with flexible shift options of 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The role is well-paid, with a salary of £34 - £37 per hour (umbrella), depending on experience.

Candidates must be GPhC Registered and have prior experience working within an NHS hospital environment. The first day will include an induction, and successful candidates will be required to complete e-learning before starting their shifts.

Both part-time and full-time candidates are welcome to ensure service resilience, covering sickness, leave, and other contingencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmaceutical care within the Emergency Department (ED) and Ward settings

• Dispense medications and ensure appropriate use of drugs

• Monitor and advise on the safe and effective use of medicines

• Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to enhance patient care

• Complete all necessary e-learning and induction training prior to starting

Requirements:

• GPhC Registration is essential

• NHS hospital experience is required

• Availability for flexible shifts (8-4 or 9-5)

• Ability to complete induction and e-learning before starting
