Pinsent Masons, through its Vario division, is seeking an experienced MLS Delivery Manager to join its Managed Legal Services (MLS) team. Vario is a unique and market-leading alternative legal services provider that integrates flexible services, consulting and technology, legal project management, and managed services.

The MLS Delivery Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of world-class legal services to internal practice groups and external clients. The role involves both team leadership and service delivery oversight, requiring a balance of legal expertise, operational excellence, and people management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and line-managing a team of paralegals, including day-to-day supervision, training, mentoring, and professional development.

• Supervising the delivery of legal services to lawyers and external clients, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

• Providing service delivery management support, including resource planning, output/efficiency reviews, progress reporting, and quality assurance.

• Continuously developing and refining delivery models to maintain best-in-class service standards.

• Building strong working relationships across practice groups and industry sectors to enhance collaboration.

• Coordinating with resource management teams to allocate workload effectively, balancing capacity and demand.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in legal service delivery, particularly in disputes, with a strong understanding of alternative legal services models. They should demonstrate proven success in managing legal teams across multiple locations and have the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a large commercial law firm environment. Strong analytical skills, performance-driven mindset, and a passion for innovation in legal service delivery are essential.
