If so, I am currently working with a very well renowned British retail/apparel & fashion group, they have over 50 offices nationwide and are looking for a newly qualified Management Accountant to join their growing UK operations.
Key responsibilities:
- In consultation with the GFC, review financial systems and controls with a key focus on increasing the efficiency of the financial processes
- Assist in the improvement of financial reporting and analysis for all parts of the business
- Preparation of monthly financial results and KPIs
- Ownership of the month end process, including journal preparation and posting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure financial and audit requirements are met
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and other regulatory requirements as required
- Support the GFC in maintaining and strengthening internal controls via development and documentation of business processes and financial policies
- Provide support and guidance to members of the finance team and overseeing team capacity and capability
- Support the GFC in other ad-hoc projects/business needs as and when necessary
Experience
- Newly Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- Experience preparing month end reporting packs
- Experience of working with/within retail/apparel & fashion (preferred, not essential)
- Educated to degree level.
- Strong communicator, with the ability and develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
