Management Accountant

Navantia UK is looking for a proactive Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in producing accurate, insightful financial information that supports informed decision-making across the business.

• • Prepare monthly financial information, including project reporting, revenue recognition, trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet, and variance analysis.
     
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate reporting of project costs and performance against budget for revenue, costs, and cash flow.
     
  • Produce project dashboards and management reports for inclusion in internal board packs.
     
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to the Financial Controller and senior management to support business decisions.
     
  • Assist in maintaining financial controls, procedures, and disciplines across all business activities.
     
  • Prepare monthly management accounts (revenue, balance sheet, and cash flow) and report performance against budget.
     
  • Identify and report project risks that may affect milestones and support corrective actions with project teams.
     
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, statutory accounts, and external audits.
     
  • Contribute to the financial appraisal of commercial projects and new business opportunities.
     
  • Manage project setup in SAP, ensuring accurate allocation of cost baselines, margins, revenue, and cash plans.
     
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives.
     

   

   

   

   

   

   

  • • Professional qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent).
       
    • 2+ years’ post-qualification experience — ideally within engineering, construction, or manufacturing.
       
    • Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial controls.
       
    • Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems across ledgers and project accounting.
       
    • Skilled in data analytics tools and confident using Excel and PowerPoint.
       
    • A proactive, detail-focused approach with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly and effectively.
