Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a research-focused candidate with expertise in social care to lead a project funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). The role focuses on investigating inequalities in reablement services within Manchester using routinely collected Adult Social Care data. The post-holder will collaborate closely with Manchester City Council’s data and intelligence team and contribute specialist social care knowledge to NIHR’s Research Support Service at the University of Manchester.
Lead analysis of routinely collected Adult Social Care data.
Perform advanced multivariable modelling to assess access and equity of reablement services.
Identify barriers to reablement and factors affecting independent living post-intervention.
Liaise with Manchester City Council data analysts, academic researchers, service leads, and public contributors.
Prepare statistical analysis plans and negotiate data access.
Present findings at meetings and conferences.
Lead on preparing high-quality scientific publications and funding applications.
Provide specialist social care research advice to colleagues preparing NIHR funding bids.
Strong knowledge and experience in social care research.
Expertise in analysing routinely collected social care data.
Skilled in multivariable statistical modelling.
Familiarity working with local authorities and interdisciplinary research teams.
Ability to prepare research publications and funding applications.
