Bank of Ireland Corporate Banking manages some of the Bank's largest and most prestigious domestic and international names. Corporate Banking Ireland & UK ('CBI&UK') is responsible for large corporations including private companies, plcs, multinationals, financial institutions/IFSC groups, semi-states and other large companies.
Corporate Banking UK provides relationship and transactional banking services to UK corporates operating in a number of key sectors (Technology, Media & Telecoms, Consumer, Industrials, Business Services and Subscription Finance). We are positioned as specialists in the UK Corporate Market, with each team possessing significant experience, knowledge and expertise within their respective sectors.
Purpose of the Role
The Technology, Media & Telecoms Team has responsibility for the origination, execution and proactive portfolio management (including risk assessment) of lending to a thriving number of companies. This role will play a key part in working on new transactions and managing a portfolio of customers including cross selling of the Group's suite of products and services. It offers the right candidate the opportunity to further develop their skills base while serving customers brilliantly.
Relationship management of a portfolio of existing customers in a number of industry sub-sectors, geographies and structures;
Credit assessment, report writing, and presentation of key risks and issues in a concise and timely manner;
Proactive development of potential business growth opportunities from within the portfolio;
Develop Industry knowledge and expertise;
Development and maintenance of strong working relationships internally (across Corporate Banking, Corporate & Commercial Credit, Global Markets and the wider Group) and externally (including participation in customer meetings and attendance at networking events);
Preparation and review of term sheets and other legal and operational documentation;
Co-ordinate, support and deliver timely and accurate returns of a varied nature;
Working with other teams / business units including cross-team projects and initiatives as required;
Ensure work is carried out in accordance with Group Code of Conduct and stringent adherence to relevant compliance and regulatory controls.
