We are looking for two Visitor Experience Duty Managers to join our Visitor Experience and Ticketing Team on a fixed term full time basis. We have 2 roles available for an initial period of 6 months. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of Duty Managers whose focus is on providing a world class experience to all visitors to Southbank Centre and primarily:

• Ensure our busy site is safe and secure.
• Reflect Southbank Centre as a friendly and welcoming destination in which to work, perform and visit.
• Ensure our site and working areas are well maintained and presented
• Provide a pleasurable, accessible, efficient, knowledgeable and well organised experience for all visitors and staff.

We are particularly looking for candidates who have experience working in public spaces and with families, older audiences, and people with disabilities. Our free public programme runs throughout the year, and our foyers are open to all 7 days per week, so if you have experience relevant to this then please emphasise that in your application.

Shortlisted candidates will display some of the following in their supporting statement:

• Significant experience in venue management preferably in a multi-faceted arts environment or performance venue
• Demonstrable experience of leading and motivating large teams in a challenging, fast-paced audience focused environment
• Demonstrable working knowledge of Health and Safety, Fire Regulations and Personal License Holder
• Committed to constantly provide best service by leading by example and able to adapt their management style to suit different situations.
• Has the ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems
• Has the ability to work flexibly including working in the evenings and at weekends
• Is able to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the role that diversity and inclusion play in the activities of the Southbank Centre as a whole and in the work of this particular job.
