Description:
KLA’s SPTS division is a global leader in wafer processing solutions for the semiconductor and related industries. This role within the Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) team focuses on designing and improving products and processes to support manufacturing growth, new product development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
As an MDE, you will be key in ensuring manufacturing teams plan and execute processes efficiently to deliver high-value products that meet stringent quality standards on time. The role involves collaborating across multiple functions and building strong working relationships to foster technical growth and process excellence.
Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining product specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs), managing specifications through Enovia PLM (with training provided), leading multiple projects in partnership with Operations and Engineering teams, and troubleshooting technical challenges at the device level in PCBA manufacturing.
Additionally, you will manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), provide guidance to Supply Chain and Outsourcing teams, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Managing Engineering Change Orders and ensuring changes are implemented “right first time” in line with the Product Lifecycle process is also a key function.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering or has equivalent experience, is skilled in Lean manufacturing methods like 5S, VSM, SMED, and cellular manufacturing, and is comfortable working with complex data sets and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Proficiency in CAD is desirable but not essential. Willingness to travel to other KLA sites for extended periods is expected.
KLA prides itself on a flexible, inclusive work culture and offers a competitive total rewards package including annual leave starting at 25 days plus bank holidays, pension scheme, health plan, bonus, and more.
