We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer (ME) to join our team in Birmingham and contribute to our exciting project within the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Work with key ME stakeholders to understand requirements related to standardization of reworks, digitization of Non-Conformance (NC) processes, and transitioning to a paperless environment.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the Manufacturing Engineering community, ensuring efficient execution of Manufacturing Engineering activities aimed at improving processes, rework handling, and methods engineering.
- Data Integration: Implement digital solutions in the manufacturing environment to enable seamless data integration and enhance process efficiency.
- CAPP & MES Integration: Execute CAPP-related activities on Teamcenter, integrate them into MES, and verify the processes for accurate implementation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Manufacturing Process Knowledge: A general understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and enabling software tools.
- Smart Factory & Digital Solutions: Familiarity with smart factory concepts and digital transformation solutions in manufacturing.
- CAPP on Teamcenter: Knowledge and experience in using CAPP on Teamcenter, and integrating it into MES for process optimization.
- Software Knowledge: General awareness of applications like Power BI, Cognos, MES, Power Applications, Kanbanize, Thingworx, and similar platforms.
- Communication & Performance: Strong communication skills with a drive for excellence in delivery and performance.
Nice to Have:
- Data Engineering & Digital Platform Experience: Hands-on experience in data engineering and digital platforms to further enhance manufacturing processes.
- Automation Skills: Understanding of automation in manufacturing processes to drive efficiency.
- Experience with Thingworx, MES, and Cognos: Direct experience in these systems will be a plus.
