Marine Engineer

Description:

This role requires a candidate with experience in repairing boats in the inland waterways.

A motivated and practical approach with good knowledge of mechanical and marine diesel engines, accompanied by a confident understanding of marine electrical systems is essential.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate good self-management, job organisation and clear, confident customer facing skills.

Competent to operate as a single engineer, whilst also being able to display good team skills for larger projects when required.

Daily tasks will consist of hands-on engineering work - inclusive of engine diagnosis of mechanical and electrical fault finding, engine repairs, removal, and installation of engines. As well as experience of repair and servicing heat, water and other boat systems.

Stern gear replacement and welding skills would be an advantage.
