Description:
Double Eleven, an award-winning game development and publishing studio, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Marketing Lead to join their growing team in Middlesbrough, UK. This role is pivotal in defining and executing marketing strategies across Double Eleven’s publishing portfolio, from new game launches to live service support. The Marketing Lead will be responsible for campaign development, messaging, creative content, and player engagement strategies to ensure that each game is effectively positioned and reaches its target audience.
The Marketing Lead will report to the Publishing Operations Manager and align marketing efforts with publishing milestones, live service content cadence, and overall delivery planning. The role includes leading a cross-functional team consisting of Community Managers and a Content Creator while collaborating closely with development teams, creative vendors, and platform partners to maximize engagement and visibility throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and deliver marketing strategy, messaging, and positioning across the full game lifecycle.
Lead integrated campaigns across owned, earned, paid, and partner channels, while maintaining a marketing calendar aligned with development milestones and content releases.
Manage creation and timely release of trailers, key art, store assets, announcements, and patch notes.
Drive engagement campaigns to attract new players, re-engage lapsed users, and retain active communities through ongoing communication and live service support.
Manage and mentor a team of Community Managers and a Content Creator, ensuring consistent tone and high-quality player-facing content.
Monitor community sentiment, player behavior, and market trends, translating insights into actionable marketing strategies.
Collaborate with platform partners on promotional planning and launch readiness.
Manage external vendors, influencers, and creators to deliver effective assets and authentic community-driven campaigns.
Lead communication strategies during outages, updates, or emergent issues, contributing to postmortem analysis and improvement planning.
Requirements:
Strong background in games marketing, particularly with live service titles.
Proven success in planning and executing integrated campaigns, player re-engagement, and retention strategies.
Experience managing community or content-focused teams.
Ability to interpret player behavior and sentiment to guide communications and strategy.
Skilled at briefing and reviewing creative assets across platforms and formats.
Well-networked in the games industry and influencer communities (desirable).
Experience with platform promotional tools, storefront merchandising, or co-marketing is a plus.
